i don't think steroids is the reason he delayed, but i wouldnt be suprised if clemens had or was taking them. he has that puffed up look everyone rags on bonds for. personally i like the rocket but it wouldnt suprise me if he was juicin'. don't think thats a main reason for the delay though.
Weird, I heard it was because he was to busy banging Paris Hilton and doing blow off stripper's tits. In fact, I heard the whole WBC was just a way for Bud Selig to cover for a huge multi-national orgy Roger was sponsoring....

I heard a rumor that he already tested positive for roids. Thats why he sat out. It didnt hit the papers because it would be bad for baseball... But its just a stupid rumor. If something like that happened, it would have leaked.

The fact that this is even plausible makes you realize just how tainted a sport baseball really is...or was. Maybe we should just replay the "Steroid Years" to get the true numbers out.
no one can prove it BUT that incident in the playoffs vs the As when he was w/the redsox and he exploded at the home plate umpire was a classic roids rage moment complete w/the acne and the puffiness...the guy was definitely on something..when is the last time you saw a ML pitcher using a mouth piece like some NFL lineman ?!
