Will the Jays ever sweep a series?..

They are now 0-8 this year in the closing game of a series they have an opportunity to sweep. How does that happen?!?..

I think this has actually been an issue with this team for several years, going back to the Buck Martinez days, when the manager brilliantly pointed out if you won 2 games in every 3 game series you'd be pretty good. Sadly it's not so brilliant in cases where you've already won the first 2..

Actually, considering they haven't swept anyone yet, their record is pretty amazing..

August 25, 26 and 27 the KC Royals are in town for a weekend series. The Jays have a day off before the series starts but the Royals play the night before in KC. We'll be in the playoff hunt and the Royals will be polishing golf clubs. There's a sweep for us.

dang, things were looking good for a while today too.

maybe that series against the nationals at the end of the month is a series they can try to sweep. anything less than a home series against a totally craptacular team seems too much to ask right now.. (and it's not like they've gotten it done in those situations either)
