He's on pace for about 18 attempts which should give him 14 or 15 sb's. That's a bit more reasonable than what he put up last year and is about in line of what I'd expect from him.

Also on pace for 51 HR, 138 RBI and 117 runs with a .300 average. Not bad for early an early second-round pickup!

Yeah, I'll take those numbers out of my second rounders. I prefer my first rounders to be on pace for about 75 hr and 208 rbi's though.

Yes, this was indeed a lame attempt at satire on:

a) The Bay thread of a few weeks ago
b) All threads bemoaning poor player performance at the 25% mark of the season.

I have to come clean here and admit that a few weeks ago I was one of those disgruntled Bay owners who came on this site to bash him.

Luckily for me, some of the Bay supporters talked me out of trading him for Matt Holliday. I also said something to the effect that Holliday would have better stats than Bay at year's end. Well, since that time, the tide has turned. I'm eatin' crow, but fortunately I did not unload him or have any of my good offers accepted. I remember the guy who owned Carlos Lee laughing in my face when I proposed a Bay for Lee swap. He ain't chucklin' now.
