I noticed today from just looking at the box score that Liriano was removed after only 6 innings of 1 hit ball. Granted, the four walks added to his pitch count, but recently it seems like he has been removed from games relatively early. Anyone have any news on his pitch count and if it will be increased anytime soon? Thanks...

I don't know, but I know he did throw over 100 today.

I'm not sure about that pitch count, but he got hosed on the only hit in the sixth....infield single that the ump made a bad call on. I'm sure he would have been left in if he still had the no-no going.

At 104 pitches he's not going back out there regardless of a no-hitter. Remember he's still getting stretched out from his middle-relief stint. But a few more starts, and tidy up those walks ...

Liriano is on my Fantasy Team and I am an Angel fan.
The one hit he gave up was a bad call, but I guarantee you that he would have been pulled anyway after the 6th inning.
He had thrown 82 pitches the prior start and they were trying to get him to 90-95 in this start.
If he finishes 6 innings with a no hitter and 100 pitches, do you really think they would let him throw 140 pitches for a no hitter?
Gardenhire would be fired on the spot for a dumb move like that or at least he should.
No, even with the right call, his night was over.

Gardenhire should be fired for not giving him a spot in the rotation at the start of the season.
In his previous starts, his highest pitch count, I believe, was 83. So it looks like he went about what most other pitchers go. The BB's and K's add up quick.

he was hittin 96 on the gun against the final batter he faced (Vlad i believe).... so it looks like his stammina is good for when they do decide to loosen the reigns a little... which is good for those of us who own him
