I dropped Coffey YESTERDAY to pick up Matt Cain. I figured Weathers had at least another week at closer. I am now hoping (a) I can surreptiously steal him back when he clears waivers or (b) he implodes mightily, making my move look prescient rather than just plain stupid.

i doubt u will be able to steal him back, i just read he is now there closer, someone will defonitly put a claim in on him unless your league is really dumb....

i have him on all 4 of my teams, i picked him up a long time ago too and now its going to pay off, one of those teams i needed another closer real bad so this is great

I nabbed Coffey last week in anticipation of this move and that has worked out nicely. I also was able to grab Otsuka off the wire prior to him getting the job in Texas. Add those two to my draftees Gordon and Wagner and I'm looking pretty good at closer.
