It wasn't quite this bad last season. Last year Teixeira, Roberts and Tejada were in the lineup.

This just goes to show how pointless the AS game really is. I mean Alex Gonzalez of the Red Sox was 4th on the voting list, only a few thousand votes behind Michael Young.

Alex Rios has almost 59,000 write-in votes, though. That's kinda cool.

No DH in Pittsburgh so they put him on the 1B ballot.

It's pretty stupid it's all Sox/Yankees, although I guess those are the guys that will actually benefit from the home field advantage in the WS thing.

To be honest, I'm really only concerned about seeing Ortiz and Manny in the lineup. Tek's had a down year so if he doesn't get in that's fine. He'll probably get voted in though.

The one Boston guy I would like to see make it, as a reserve, is Lowell. Guy's worked his tail off and while the power numbers might not be there, everything else is. I dunno how deep 3B looks but I'd like to see Lowell get some props.

Vernon Wells should for sure be starting over Johnny Damon in CF. Also, Cano shouldn't even be on the team. He's only had a decent season so far.

I doubt he gets in over Glaus and Chavez. Wigginton and Blalock have had good years, too.
