What do u guys think about Andy laRoche, 3b Dodgers?

What kind of player will be? Blalock type?

I was thinking about dropping Edwin Encarncion (reds) for him in my keeper....should I do this? Does he have more upside?

Edwin is half a year older and he's in the majors already. Andy is in AA. :-?

well....Nick Markakis is in the majors and older than Justin Upton...but that doesn't make him better. Who has more upside?

Nick Markakis will be VERY GOOD. Just wait. Edwin is delivering in the majors and Andy is hardly "tearing up" AA pitching.

Andy so far 191ab .288/.392/.435 6HR 5 steals 3 CS in AA
Edwin so far 168ab .262/.361/.470 6HR 0 steals 1 CS in MLB

I don't see why you should prefer Andy LaRoche

LaRoche is #19 on BA's top 100 prospects list while Edwin isn't there (Not sure he qualifies). But #19 is very high for a prospect so it means the upside must be there.

EE doesn't qualify. EE was in the 60th range last year but the way he has played this year he's more advanced than LaRoche now.

The look on Chacon's face --my avatar--sums up my fantasy season...I was thinking about replacing EE ($7...$9 next year) for a $1 player....like LaRoche.

unless you really need to dump salary I'd stand put. EE is a toolsy type and should get better from now on.
