Does anyone know if hes going to go into Cincy's rotation this year and if he does when will it be?

Someone correct me if i'm wrong.. but i thought Claussen was injured.. shoulder or something?? I thought i heard that somewhere. It may have been a past injury he had already that he's recovered from but i coulda sworn i heard about an injury related to Claussen at one time or another. Anyone feel free to correct me

After having Tommy John surgery the future of this prospect was unclear, which is what made the deal of Claussen and Charlie Manning for Aaron Boone an incredible deal for the Yankees.

Claussen was traded to the Reds yesterday as part of the deal for Aaron Boone. Claussen is generally regarded as the best pitching prospect the Yankees have, and that is a strong statement to make. Claussen has pitched a little for the Yankees this year, he had one start in June, 6 2/23IP, 8H, 1ER, 1BB, and 5Ks, getting the win against the Mets. There is no doubt that the Reds have him in their immediate rotation future. Don't be surprised to see him in the red (not blue) pinstripes before the end of the month, especially if pitchers like Paul Wilson continue to struggle.

Thanks Giants.. i guess if i'm reading this right he's healed from it ok so far but it was a risky move by the Reds doing it. A lot of pitchers have come back from this surgery to do really well(Smoltz comes to my mind) If he's healthy i'd give him a shot if you have a hole already. If the matchup is right.

The latest on Claussen is that he'll enter the rotation as soon as he's fully recovered from a shin bruise he sustained in his last AAA start. He's going to be thrown into the fire.

Yeah get him up here, Harang too. That pitching staff is absolutly horrible. If there going to get shelled, there might as well be a lesson behind it. Wagner has being throwing all year so maybe they can wait till the offseason to get him stretched for 7 to 8 innings a start.

cus I just picked up Reyes (col) and Wagner (cin) in a NL Only Keeper league. I love managers that don't understand waivers. I can look at 80% of the teams and could find at least two player's that will amount to nothing in fantasy baseball.
