Is josh johnson really that good? I picked him up because I had a bench spot, but I didn't know if he was as highly touted as verlander or liriano or hamels was.

I'm not a stathead, but just looking at his minor league stats, Johnson could be an illusion. He's really young and the league's never seen him before. Unless I'm missing some key information, there's nothing to indicate that he can keep this up.

i'll go with billingsly and reyes. billingsly has owned hitters at every level he has played at, though i tend to think he walks too many hitters. but he is still only 21. reyes should have a big league job right now, but the cards seem satisfied starting expensive, league average pitchers. though with reyes, you always have to wonder when his arm will explode.
