Watch out Pierre!

I agree he probably will drop off a little but he should still be a top 3rd baseman at the end of the year. I wasn't writing this post to brag about Lowell being so great, I was just trying to poke fun at the fact that if you've ever seen Lowell play, he is one of the SLOWEST players in the majors. Just last week he got thrown out at third while tagging up from second on a sacrifice that was at the warning track at Pro Player in center field and on a bad throw by the CF. Seriously this guy is slow, and not to mention hes been even slower due to his groin injury. But he is one of my favorite players and an all around good guy on and off the field, so kudos to Mike on his 3rd, and most likely final, stolen base of the year .

Both of those trades were in different leagues. I play in 5 of them this year.

It's easy as long as you convince the other guy that you have what he needs. Not many people have Pierre. Only 1 per league. How many points would you gain if you had him? Pretty easy to get very good offers for him. As far as Lowell, part of that was a little lucky. The guy that I traded him to had Ensberg at 3B and didn't know how to find out ahead of time if he was playing or not. Plus he already had Helton. I convinced him that my Lowell, who is having a career year would fill that hole at 3B and he could use one of his backup hitters in his utility hole. That would solve all his problems. He went for it, what can I say? I went for Helton first and that made it a little easier for him to deal Giambi.

All in all, I usually come out fairly well in trades. The jury is still out on Soriano (got him about 6 weeks ago), we'll see how that turns out.
