Schmidt and Belle are correct! Brown was the first to earn $15 million, though.

Belle did have a couple decent years after signing that contract, including that monster '98 season...

Manny is correct; Dimaggio is a good guess, but no. The year the 100k contract was signed was 1947, by the way, and the player wound up playing only 125 games for the team that signed him.
