Most people that commit crimes like this probably have the guns more for show than anything else. If they'd done something similar before the victim probably didn't put up much of a fight, they probably weren't prepared for somebody who was ready to fight back.
Nice to hear that the Marine is safe and sound, and glad to hear the ciminals are either dead or caught.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

Seriously. Great post. Great story. Glad to hear he's alright, but it is sad to hear about the girl. At 17, she still had plenty of chances to turn things around. Just goes to show you that you can pay for bad choices at any age.
I feel no remorse for that girl. She has a brain and free will. If she didn't jump on the Marine's back she would not have been stabbed to death.
I bet if more attackers died when they tried to rob someone that sort of crime would go down or at least they would think twice before they attempted it. I've been reading more and more stories of potential victims using lethal force against attackers and intruders. It's good to see people defending themselves and property by standing up to these thugs.

exactly what i was going to say. the two robbers probably aren't cold blooded killers, just dumbass muggers. when the marine fought back, they probably couldn't bring themselves to pull the trigger either due to conscience (unlikely) or cowardice (didn't want to spend life in jail - much more likely).

I was wondering the same thing. The whole 'knife to a gunfight' thing in reverse here.

No, you rob other people of their minds.

Right on. Citizens should learn to defend themselves. If the majority of everyday citizens could sufficiently defend themselves in an attack, thugs would think twice.
