I just updated Netscape 7.0 to 7.1 and the newer version has a built in pop up blocker. Works great so far.

he is talking about the expandable banner .. I use earthlins popup blocker but there is an ad on top ... All white and fairly new .. that seems to have a mind of its own. As long as the boards are free and my name is not being sold, I'm fine.

Thanks to Doc and DHC for pointing this out! ;-D

The banner network that serves these banners introduced expandable banners and even a new "floating" size without letting us know. The new floating format (yuck! :-P

) now won't apear anymore at all, as for the expandable ones, I removed cheap tickets, but unfortunately there is no way to automatically weed out this type of ad for the future. I've already sent a complaint mail to the banner company, and if they don't make it possible we might eventually leave them all together. In the meantime, if you encounter another one of those, please let me know and I'll put my exterminator boots on.

Again, apart from the static ads on the page we only intend to serve one popunder (appearing UNDER the page and not ON it) per visit. If you get anything else (except for the AOL bug I mentioned above) please DO complain - it's really not intended. ;-)

I don't mind the one pop-up, the cheap-tickets pop-up wasn't even an eye-catcher. Pop-up OD might drive me away from a site, so I definitely appreciate Menyak and the mods response to this somewhat trivial, but somewhat annoying occurence. Moves like that only solidify my Cafe loyalty.

I really hated the people that kissed the psychotic mods asses at Sandbox, but I find myself dangerously close to having Cafe mod-poo on my nose.

I use pop-up killer. Never get a pop-up. You can download it off of bearshare or kazaa.
