If the money doesn't really matter, why are you taking advantage of this kid who has a serious problem? He obviously can't control his gambling problem. Next time he asks for money to borrow, you say no. Tell all of your friends to say no as well.
Get him to pay everyone back,including yourself and then take charge and tell him no more borrowing or high stakes gambling. Confront him, tell him he needs help.
Normally I'd really say "Kick his ass" and "Make him pay"... but I think it'd be much more rewarding if you actually helped this kid out of a serious problem. Trust me, if you do the right thing, you'll feel better about yourself and hopefully the kid will get the point... either learn how to play the game or stop givng your money away.
