The only information i can find so far...

Derek Jeter left Monday's game in the fifth inning with an undisclosed injury.
It wasn't clear when he got hurt, but he was replaced by Miguel Cairo defensively after grounding out in the top of the fifth. He was 0-for-3 before departing. May. 29 - 2:31 pm et

Not so bad as it seems...

Derek Jeter left Monday's game because of a jammed right wrist he suffered sliding into second base.
Jeter was taken out for precautionary reasons so that his hand could be iced, the Yankees said. There's a good chance that he'll be in Tuesday's starting lineup.

This is an update I received from CBS Sportsline:

New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter injured his right
hand Monday and left the game against Detroit in the fifth
inning.

Jeter jammed the hand two innings earlier while sliding into
second base. After batting in the fifth, he was taken out
for precautionary reasons so that his hand could be iced,
the Yankees said. Jeter, who was 0-for-3 Monday, began the
game hitting an AL-best .352. Miguel Cairo replaced Jeter at
shortstop.

I'll have to keep my fingers crossed that he's back tomorrow.

Should've taken the night off and spared us all that dreadful 0-for-5 (with 3 Ks). Anyone see the game? Did he look as bad as that sounds?

0-5, so he will take the night off. He's tough so don't expect to see him out for too long.
