This is an update I received from CBS Sportsline:
New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter injured his right
hand Monday and left the game against Detroit in the fifth
inning.
Jeter jammed the hand two innings earlier while sliding into
second base. After batting in the fifth, he was taken out
for precautionary reasons so that his hand could be iced,
the Yankees said. Jeter, who was 0-for-3 Monday, began the
game hitting an AL-best .352. Miguel Cairo replaced Jeter at
shortstop.
I'll have to keep my fingers crossed that he's back tomorrow.

Hit it."
