welp, ruby just hasn't had that 30+ HR power that many thought he'd have if he wasnt constantly injured for the d-backs. he hasn't gotten injured, which in and of itself is quite amazing, however he's only got 13-14 HRs, which suggests about 18-25 HR depending on how strong he finishes.. otherwise, isn't he like .280 with ~60 rbi? not terrible.
konerko's 1st half woes were all in his head... if he's fixed them, considering how hot that whole sox lineup is, he could be very valuable to fantasy teams in the 2nd half, as he should have been readily available after his monster 1st half. in fact, i'm hopping on the K-line right now because the white sox look like hte offensive juggernaught that we all thought they could be. alomar looks to be excited to be back in both a pennant race and the AL central, everett is coming out of his month-plus long slump, frank's average sucks, but the power is there, magglio's tearing the cover off of th eball, and carlos lee is the hottest hitter on the team. that's like 4-5 bats going off other than konerko... so when he's in the middle of that, you like his chances for big #s the rest of the way.
go pauly.
