Interesting, I agree with Top flop starting rotation and Most overrated trade pickups.

A few comments:

- Wouldn't saying Beltre is the least improved player mean that he has actually improved somewhat? :-b

- How is Hanley improved, he has never played in the majors before.

- I think they could of tried a bit better to find a least improved for the NL. A bit to easy to name Bonds after the surgery and age., he barely even played last year.

Who is average at best care to explain?

Adrian Beltre has been a bust from the day he left The Dogers. The only good thing I say about him is he has some SB.

I believe he meant the article was average at best. On Beltre that's my point, he has been beyond awful ... even worse then last year. So it's odd to have a statement saying least improved, when he hasn't improved at all.

Why does Giambi play first base?

Because he hits much much better while playing there and the Yankees are not able to use the dh spot on him right now

He's also an okay fielder. His UZR in 2005 was 0.

Every other stat I've seen has him far below that, assuming 0 is average.

That's what I meant, hybrid. There are some decent calls, but some horrible ones aswell.
