Bonds, 18M (I think) for this season

What's bad about that? He's still the greatest hitter in the game, he just started off the season in a slump. Besides, he still has a .488 OBP because he gets walked all the time. This makes him EXTREMELY valuable to the Giants and definitely worth 18 mil. You must still be bitter about the whole 'roids thing, huh?

Hampton's isn't that bad. The Braves amortized the money so they're only paying him 8 Million a year. Considering the price for an average pitcher nowadays, 8 million a year for Hampton, who was getting pretty damn good before he got hurt, isn't too bad.

the one deal that stands out of my mind is a few years back the A's signed David Justice, I dont know how much he got, but he sure was a dud, coming off the year playing in the world series against the d-backs, the A's had high hopes on him, but he was really bad

With Jason Kendall, it's not a bad deal, he turned around the season for the A's last year, guiding the rookie pitchers(haren,blanton)

As for E. Loiza, right on the money. Suprised you dont have on higher, I wonder why we signed him for that much, I bet no one was thinking of giving a mediocre nats pitcher that much money, He is a dud now too
