I am not positive at this point, I think he is going to be day to day. Lets hope he pinch hits today to give us some sort of sign that he will be alright. I hate the Red Sox, but I never want to see anybody get hurt, so hopefully a DL trip isnt necessary.
I watched the game today. The word is Manny has been sore for awhile, and they've been looking for a time to sit him. Manny started every game so far this season before yesterday, and has been convincing Francona NOT to sit him. I guess he would sit out yesterday and today with a couple big series coming up. The Sox head to Toronto, then to Detroit, then to Yankee Stadium, so they want to rest him against the D-Rays so he'd be ready for the big series coming up.
Look for him to be back in the lineup tomorrow in Toronto.
i think reports are they are going to try to rest him for the Toronto series since his knee has also been bothering him, they dont want him aggravating anything because of the turf
I have bad luck when it comes to signatures that the person either gets traded or hurt...in this case I hope he gets traded.
Damn, I wish they'd at least play him today. Halladay starting for Toronto, we need all the offense we can get. (Although I have Halladay, so maybe not...on the other hand I have Manny too, and I am a Sox fan... )
