To be realistic, these people aren't really "eating" the hot dogs. To me eating means enjoying the food you're consuming. These people are more or less "working" and could care less about the food. They break the dogs in half and just shove them in there. Shame really because Nathan's hot dogs are DELICIOUS. And when I was a kid I used to also think they named them after me. But that's neither here nor there

Please. All eating contests are are disgusting displays of gluttony. You got running shoes gathering dust and kids starving in Haiti, but a guy can choke down 50 hotdogs in 12 minutes and he's a damn hero. Would he also be considered an American Hero when he dies of a heart attack?
