I would be shocked if he was back in two weeks since the cast was just taken off.

Probably, two weeks until he goes on a minor league rehab stint and another week or two until he's activated to the majors.

But fingers are crossed ... my team is just barely holding on in second place despite injuries to Sheets/Burnetts/Lee....

Listening to the Cubs game Saturday, WGN stated Lee will have his cast off this Wednesday, then possibly be in the lineup the following week, skipping a rehab assignment. Apparently the bones have healed well, Lee is in great shape, and he doesn't want a rehab start.

That's horribly optomistic. Cast off Wednesday, sure, but back in the lineup next week? Doubtful. If those reports are even close to accurate, I'd guess he's back in the lineup in the third week of June or so. That offense sorely needs him, he knows it, and he'll provide some spark as soon as he's back.

I'm guessing he'll DH the Minnesota series starting June 23rd, then back to full action for the Milwaukee series immediately thereafter or the White Sox series the following weekend. Either way, there's no chance he'll miss the White Sox series. He'll be in those games for sure.

<Sigh> Nick Johnson in my lineup just isn't the same.

I've broken my wrist once and the bones heeled fine after 6 weeks in a cast. Only thing is that your arm is extremely week because you haven't moved it in 6 weeks. I highly doubt he'll be in the lineup 2 weeks after getting the cast off, and if he is, I doubt he'll be very effective. But since I've got him on my team, I'm praying for a miracle.

oh no doubt. but an arm in a cast is still an arm in a cast. I'm not saying he can't rehabilitate a whole lot faster then i can, I'm just saying a week after is probably too soon to count on him being in the lineup.

Hey fellas, does anyone know exactly how long he was in a cast? Has it been 6 weeks? Being a Lee owner I've been in denial......it doesn't seem like it's been 6 weeks, but I could be wrong. I've been drunk since he went down, I didn't take the news very well.

He was in his full wrist to elbow cast from April 21 to May 12. If he gets his smaller cast off on Wednesday, he would have worn that one for about 19 days. All together, he will have been in a cast for about 5 1/2 weeks.
