I'm wondering, as far as how many hitters and how many pitchers. My team this season is looking pretty even as far as hitting and pitching on the bench, usually about three of each. I've needed it with my players going on the DL seemingly every day.
However, I've heard idea's from loading up on hitters and playing the matchups there to just loading up on starters and playing matchups to getting as many relievers as possible to help ratios.
So, what does your bench look like, and what is your strategy for this, if any at all??
I've got so many people on the DL I actually have to waste Bench spots to hold them...
Alou, Bradley, Sheets, Clemens and a bunch of starters because I keep setup men in my spare pitching spots to help buffer stats.
Yes, I was, uh... I was thinking about ordering the tape, the videotape... about the college girls and the... the wild... the wildness. They're going wild or something? Somebody told me... about going wild.

I only have 2 bench hitters...I have the same starting lineup for hitters every day all games are played, then I have a couple specialty guys on the bench, such as Lugo for runs and steals. Then, since my league counts holds, I have 2 holds guys, 2 closers, and the rest starters, which is nice because I have the most in the league so I can usually match guys in IP while playing the matchups.
I also have just 2 Bench Bats. I pretty much start the same lineup every day unless there is a really strong split to rely on. It's also nice to have a couple guys available to fill in on days off and such...but I find with multiple bench bats it just ends up pissing me off when I "miss" stats. The rest of my bench is loaded with Starters. I use the 2 RP and 3 P starting spots on closer type guys and then just rotate in all my bench SP in the 3 SP spots.

As of yesterday I had no bench hitters and 5 bench pithcers. I made a trade yesterday because Berkman is going to be out a few days, and when he comes back I'll be able to bench Rollins. So after that trade I have 1 bench hitter and 4 bench pitchers.
