I just found out that a local pet store, just outside city limits, in Ralston, NE, is selling an alligator for $150. It's about 2 1/2 feet from nose to tail apparently. Anybody else know of any other places that sell this sort of animal?

Don't know if you've heard of this, but last year, there was an alligator that was let loose in a park lake in Harbor City (an L.A. suburb on the South Bay). What happened was an exotic pet seller from the area (from San Pedro) had dumped the alligator (I think it's about 6-7 feet long), of whom he called Reggie in the lake. Forgot the reason why. Anyway Reggie is still lurking somewhere in that lake and with Winter hibernation done with, the gator hunt is on. I think the cops shut down the exotic pets seller though sometime late last Summer.

I eat at a restaurant close to me that serves fried alligator, or if you like, you can get it grilled instead. 2 1/2 feet probably wouldn't cost $150, so I think you would be overpaying if you bought that one.

I think you should buy it dude...put it in your bath tub...but watch out alligators and other reptiles don't have any sense of friendship..Basically you could hang with the alligator every day for its whole life and it would still eat you

I recall a place we went to outside of Vegas, when I was a kid, that sold a toucan and a monkey. I can't remember many of the other animals. There's a store in KC that sells anacondas.
