Brad Hawpe

I've been lucky enough to Hawpe onto the bandwagon and got him after his huge game in SD very early this year(only thanks to Coco Crisp) but he's been doing well for me. Hawpe has performed well so far and above projections as far as AVG and Powers. My question is how does everyone feel about his future? Is he going to be a solid OF fantasy wise for years to come. My questioning for this is should I hold onto him for the next few years. His Minors numbers are definately somthing to look at

487 G - .306 - 102 HR - 363 RBI - 324 R - 14 SB

He had 31 homers in 2004 at AAA Colorado Springs and has been up for now since last year. They say his downside is hitting lefties and while he has been sitting mostly this year against them, he's hitting .292 (7/24) against them. On pace for a balmy 34 HRs, is Brad Hawpe someone to hold onto? Is this 2000 College World Series MVP the real deal?

I own him in my keeper league and am so happy. This kid is the real deal.....a line drive hitter with some pop....I like him as much as Holliday......hold onto him

He's been hitting great AWAy from Coors, which is a sign he's no fluke

A buddy of mine went to school with Hawpe and told me how good he was gonna be so I've always watched him with interest. When he has that good series against SD, I picked him up. He's not having amazing games, but is consitently producing. A hot streak is right around the corner for this guy.

I think he's a lock for 25-30 HR with 100 RBI and a .300 AVG.
