What do u guys think about these 2 young players. They are both off to great starts and show no signs of slowing down. They were both big prospects at one time and they certainly have potential. So what are your projections for these guys? here are their stats so far:
rios, definitely for real, but will just as certainly not hit .360 all year! his power has really surprised me, but now having watched 20 or so of his plate appearances, i'm less surprised. he's a different hitter. more balanced, better pitch recognition, and just plain stronger.
corey patterson: who ever knows? he's always been streaky--even when during those couple years of high promise. he's only what, 27? so it could be for real.

I hope so. I traded Hamels for him after the first 5 BB start. What sealed the deal for me was the amount of HR and 2B, Rios does not appear to be simply hitting his doubles a little further in to HR, but to be hitting the ball hard and deep often. Vernon Wells protection has to be having an effect as well.

yearly prediction
.265 22Hrs 35Sbs 80ish runs 70ish Rbi
Those numbers arent too bad, For someone who needs a stolen base guy that can help in other cats I'd rather take Patterson who will give me 35 steals with other stats, than some guys who only steal bases with less runs and less rbi less homers and same AVG.
But I do thik Patterson is for real, he had a good year in CHI a few years back b4 he got hurt (He was top 20 player going into AUG.) He hasnt bounced back since then but it look's as if he might be and I grabbed him on quite a few teams.
