If I had to compare him to someone thats who it would be(Sheets).Billingsley has more of an arsenal than Sheets. The sky is the limit for this guy once he gets alittle more command

His fastball isn't as good as Sheets and his curve has a little less umph but he's got a good slider and changeup. Sheets is a very nice comparison. ;-D

Did anyone see Billingsley pitch the other day? How good did his stuff look? Thinking of using my #5 waiver, but people in my league aren't on forums like these reading up on new prospects coming up. I may just wait to see although someone did use their waiver on weaver (i miss that one).

Go to MLB.com, go to baseballchannel.tv about halfway down the page.

Then go to >My Team, scroll down to Dodgers, then click on the video which says Billingsley's strong debut. Got his curve where he freezes giles and it looks great.

He looked awfully impressive in that debut ... at least until that last inning. :-°

You guys are right though .. that curve is downright disgusting. I love it. ;-D

... wish I had a higher waiver though. :~(

Just finished his start against Seattle. Did not look that good. Got lit up pretty good. Lucky to get out with only 2 earned runs in 5 IP. Lots of baserunners.

Everyone still high on him?

Hopefully the dodgers have a good pitching coach that can help him harness his stuff better

The highest speed pitch I saw him throw was 92mph (usualy 90 or 91mph) according to the radar, nowhere near the 95mph+ he's labeled with.

Its been just 2 games, nerves may have gotten to him a little bit, its too early to tell if he's going to live up to the hype this season

looked like he overthrew quite a few pitches, I watched about 3 innings total of him pitching and saw 3 or 4 pitches fly out with a horrible release point, I think he may be trying to impress too much but his poise on the mound is solid, he never got rattled
