Some Giant minor leaguer, Abraham Nunez, just got a 2-month vacation. He must be like the fourth minor leaguer this year. Probably the 50th overall.

Yet the MLs have what? Four?

You're kidding, right? Just because you think there are no positive tets, you actually believe that nobody is taking anything? I've read from many that Major League Baseball's steroid testing is a joke, and I've had no reason to believe otherwise.

Do you realize that they don't even test for HGH in baseball yet? Who knows how many could be taking that, all of them knowing full well that there won't be any repercussions for doing so.

Either way, I think it's pretty obvious to see what drug testing does to this sport (and others for that matter). The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The rich players have the ability to spend money on acquiring stuff that goes under the radar of these tests, while the minor leaguers who don't make that much, simply don't. There will always be labs like Balco if there are pro sports, we shouldn't forget that.

I don't see it. It looks like the guy wanted to know how many minor leaguers have been suspended in comparison to major leaguers. Further down, he also seemed to comment on his belief that over the past year and a half, minor leaguers have been suspended far more frequently than major leaguers for steroids, as well (50ish to 4 was his recollection). I mean I can see how the title of the post could be seen as sarcastic, but then after reading the contents of his post, I'm really not sure.

Gomes isn't freakishly powerful he's a strong young kid -- look at Thome, 35 years old hitting 'em out with ease. Now that's freakish.
