thats my flyer I usedthis year. I have a pretty good rep around the neighborhood because ive been doing it for so long.

But short and sweet does the job

Works for me. You don't need an area code?? Here, you need to use it even if you are calling another number in your own house. :-t

Same here. A bit of a pain, but when there are 3 different area codes in a city (Fort Worth has two, Dallas has three), I can see why dialing the area code is required.

I just passed out flyers with in 5-10 min of my house, not trying to advertise too heavily. but i think the area code of my town is the same through out :-?

My housemate has a pretty well-to-do older lady a town up. He trims her bushes and wacks her weeds....

.....Oh and he also does her yardwork :-b :-)

But seriously, he goes up there and works about 2 hours and gets like $40. He does the trimming, hedging, cutting, all that good stuff.

If she would do her own trimming, he could spend his time on the better things in life. ;-7

One thing to watch out for is if you're on the job and that nice little old lady asks you to haul some old branches to the street for her or some other crap you aren't getting paid for.

Don't get scammed by a blue-hair.

Yeah, you wouldn't want to be a good boyscout and do even the slightest job for free. :-?

If you want to work for free put in your 40hrs and then go to a soup kitchen. Alls I am saying is you're in it for the money not for the heartwarming feeling you get when you get Agnes' cat out of a tree.

I didn't know Agnes had a cat.

Excessive stuff aside, what's the right thing to do if an old lady asks a young man to put a bag of leaves out on the curb?

A. "Sure...for an extra $5."
B. "Nah, I'm off the clock."
C. "You look like you could use the exercise."
D. "Sure and I'll see you next week."

I'm with you. It's no big deal to do a quick thing or 2. Many people really appreciate that. Just make sure that you don't get taken advantage of.
