His ERA is way down below 1 now and, according to Rotoworld, the Indians won't want to leave him in Triple A for much longer.

Is Sowers better than Boof? Comparable to Hamels? What are we looking at with Sowers?

Sowers relies on deception much more than just overpowering a hitter. He's a pitcher who can "pitch" not just "throw." Which makes him more attractive than someone who can just throw gas since you know he has to have good location and deception to succeed. I like Sowers better than both Boof and Hamels. Hamels may have better stuff, but Sowers is much more durable.

I know, I was ready to grab Hamels with a middle of the road waiver, but then ESPN started publicizing him and the guy with #1 got him. Realistically, he was probably out of my reach, but I doubt Sowers will be if he stays on the hush

Don't forget he might pitch his first game before he even gets added. If he has a really good game then it will be all over sportscenter and espn.

I'd monitor JJ's start this Sunday ... if he has a bad outing I think they'll call him up next week...
