Although it would be really cool, I don't see this helping our society.
Oh I'm sure there has to be something positive about it. Would make for a good security measure, seeing as people wouldn't be able to see what they wanted to steal. Umm could allow for some hilarious invisible banana peel antics.
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike

Good security measure? You mean so someone can walk by security at an airport with a bomb, unnoticed?
Or so stalkers or kidnappers can follow people invisibly and then take them?

Good to see people who can laugh at their own misfortune...

This may be a bit extreme, Mr. Ballgame. It's not like we're suddenly going to live in a world of body snatchers. This technology is cutting-edge, which means it won't be available to the public for a LONG time, if ever. It sounds pretty impractical to develop for a coat or cloak.

Exactly. You do realize, Teddy, that the US military uses amazing technology everyday that we do not have access to? For instance, they can drop a bomb on a penmark if they wanted (a little exaggeration, I know), but you don't see civilians getting ahold of this technology.
