Yep. I like Berkman a lot but avoided him just for this reason. Guy has a bum knee and knee injuries don't go away. Best case scenario is you've seen his best production and his value drops slightly but he plays the remainder of the season. Worst case he plays another 20 games and that's it.

Damn. I'll be short an OF over the weekend. But Coco and Berkman both could be back on Monday.. (Garner mentioned a "couple of days off" for Berkman..)

Word. Do they need Lamb's bat in the lineup that bad? I'd rather Berkman just stay at 1B.

Yall are making more of this than it should be. He had surgery at the beginning of last year and came back and played great the rest of the way proving he recovered nicely. He had a minor hamstring strain in the left leg a little while back and what happens when that occurs? Well, you overcompensate with the other leg and look what happened...right leg irritation. It's related to the hamstring and he could play tonight but if he doesn't it's just being cautious. However, I do agree that he needs to stay at first base and Lamb should be in the lineup but take out Lane...try Lamb in right.

Berk will be fine, odds are he'll sit down tonite and tommorrow and be back in time by Sunday....I think you guys are hating on him for all the wrong reasons, he's hardly one to suck up an injury.
