I am not a Berkman owner but this injury has come up and down for the past couple weeks. Why don't they rest him for a bit not neccesairly a DL stint but like what Huston Street did?

It does if it's the same knee that he had operated on last year. :-o

Apparently he tweaked it yesterday and it was annoying him today. He's likely to have a couple days off. According to MLB.com...

I actually hope they put him on the 15 day DL, for 2 reasons. 1- so he's not taking up a roster spot and not playing...I hate that. 2- so he can get totally, fully recovered. I'd rather not have him at all for 15 days than have him be tweaked all year and be in and out of the lineup, especially if it's the same knee that was operated on last year. Just put him on the DL, let him get that knee some rest and give it time to fully recuperate.

Apparently you have a free DL spot... Unfortunately I've got Sheets and Harden stuck there, so I could care less if they DL him or not. If it's just going to be a day or three, then I'd just soon they not DL him...

If he got injured playing the field...I at least want to get credit for hit by having him keep his OF eligibility.

:-/

It's games started so as long as he hit at least once or played a full half inning in the field then it counts. Since he walked twice he gets the start (and the appearance if that matters as well). ;-D

;-D

when i looked at the box score i just saw berkman 0-0 replaced. it was still early and i thought that he might have left in the first inning or something before he had an AB.

then sportline added a message on the bottom of the screen later on in the game....

3 more games to go to keep his OF status in my league.... :-o
