Hs hit 43 dongs last year, 4 this year FOUR <img src=/forums/images/smiles/kiss.gif> Tiexeira has lost about 35 points off his average, to .272 His # of ABs implies he's healthy, so what the hell? Thanks
I'm wondering the same thing, I want to drop his no home run hittin @ss, but can't bring myself to do it. I neeed some depth at pitching with Patterson, Prior and now Hamels on the DL. I also have Felix, and Liriano. These two are not going deep enough in the game to get me my min of 50 innings for the week. :-/
tex has always been a slow starter, and my fear going into the year was that the lack of any real spring training...and very very few at bats in the wbc would make his start even slower.
the speculation is thats the case, same thing for michael young...though youngs avg is higher than this time last year.
He'll be fine. The HR's haven't been there but he is driving in a respectable number of runs and has been getting on base. Once the weather heats up in Arlington, Teixeira will too.
