Victorinos been hitting great since Rowands been out, im assuming he will go straight back to the bench with Rowand coming back this weekend.. Considering they have no where to put them.. What are everyones thoughts on Victorino? I think he could be a stud if they keep him in the lineup..
no, hes not a stud...hes doin very nicely but i think he'd be a little exposed as an everyday player. i have been pleasantly surprised with his results and im sure he could be a nice starter in the future, but "stud" by no means. he is indeed going right back to the bench, but will probably be coming in more late in games as a defensive replacement for burrell or abreu and could steal a few abs....friday is his last day as a useful fantasy player baring a trade of abreu or burrell.
it is indeed but this is also the same shane victorino who won the international league MVP last season.... he should be a nice player in the future but not this season.

Regardless though as an OF'er on a team with Abreu, Burrell and Rowand his value will be limited unless there's an injury.
Or Abreu could be traded for pitching(Burrell is the other possibility). It's no secret Abreu is not loved in the orginization. The guy's a dandy, and a cry baby. He is also very good, which means he's their number 1 bargaining chip. Victorino could be a nice fit here, because it would allow Rollins to bat 2nd. My dream would be to trade Abreu for a 3B, but now I'm just wishful drinking.
Victorino
Rollins
Utley
Burrell
Howard
Rowand
Bell
Lieby
You now have plenty of speed and power in that lineup, and a better OF with Rowand and Victorino.
