Forgot to mention, I also hate McCarver. I hate him more than any other commentator. He's such a homer with the Yankees I can't stand it.

I don't know the gentleman's name, but the Mets' radio play-by-play man has impressed me an awful lot since I got XM. He has an annoyingly shrill voice, as do a lot of people on the Eastern seaboard, but the level of detail he provides during a broadcast is among the best in the game. He talks pretty fast, which takes some getting used to, but when contrasted against some of the radio play-by-play announcers that start rambling along on their own tangents and then tell you about a pitch a few seconds after it happened and just before the next one, he is really one of the best out there.

The St. Paul Pioneer Press has a feature in every Sunday sports section called The Loop, which is a series of one liners about sports. From a recent eddition:

Lew Anderson, who portrayed Clarabell the Clown on "The Howdy Doody Show," has died at 84. With his death, the oldest surviving television clown is now Chris Berman.

I really like Michael Kay and Ken Singleton for the Yankees, I have absolutely no problem listening to them every night. ;-D
