Who are your favorite baseball commentators

I've always liked Dan Shulman as a commentator.

Is he more of a radio guy with ESPN now?

I also like Shulman.

I think Scully is the best.

As an Atlanta fan, I have to say that Skip Carey has always annoyed me, because he seems to not really like his job, which would be a "dream job" for most of us. He complains if a game is going slowly, and he is grumpy as all get out. In fact, a few seasons ago, the local radio station he did the Braves pre-game show on had to tell him to quit being so nasty to the callers, because he was being sarcastic and ugly on a regular basis.

I also cannot stand the Yankees guy- Thaaaaaaaaa Yankees win! Good lord, shut the heck up. So canned.

Joe Morgan may be in the Hall of fame for playing baseball. But should be in the Hall of Shame for trying to be a commentator.
He SUCKS!!!!!!!
And I agree with a previous poster. ESPN is top shelf with sports but well drinks on annoucers.
Tim McCarver can go sit next to Morgan as far as I'm concerned.

I forgot to mention how much I dislike Berman and his nicknames... biggest ego on tv. Also think Joe Morgan is scary bad as a commentator, and can't stand McCarver and Joe Buck, either.

My favorite has gotta be Remy - I remember once he talked about the suit Ortiz was wearing before the game for 15 minutes talking about how handsome he was - this was while a tie game was on in the bottom of the 9th - definately classic lol.


And by the way - anyone know the name of that spanish announcer who, whenever someones hits a homer, he goes "no no no no nooooooooooo!!!" ?

Is Scully on TV or Radio? I'll have to tune in to some Dodgers games with Gameday if it's radio.

Guys I cant stand are:
-Castiglione and Trupiano (Red Sox radio guys)
-Morgan and Miller (sometimes they're ok but they repeat themselves over and over)
-BERMAN (he needs to go away forever)

And I've never listened to them in real life, but on MVP Baseball their catch phrases and sayings are very annoying.

Shulman is very good too. Only get to listen to him when he does College Basketball because I don't get ESPN Radio...
