Just in: Hamels has a pinch in his rotator cuff. No tear, no structural damage. It was determined to be nothing serious, and he is scheduled to make his next start.-John Kruk-5:05 pm/comcast

great news...thanks for the info. In a way I'm kinda happy that he didn't make his start today since I'm a Mets fan and there would be conflicting interests. Now I can root for them to absoultely man handle Lieber. Plus, I already have Sheets & Lee on the DL, it would have made for an empty spot on my roster.

Bad news: 15 day DL. Kruk was reporting Hamels thoughts, and apparently the doctors disagree and want him to rest through it. Which leads me to believe it's worse than Hamels thought. Sorry guys, I gave you the first info reported, but it just changed minutes ago.

Right now, it's the 15 day dl. Again, there is no structural damage, that has not changed, but I would be lying if I said I was optimistic about the DL stint being only 15 days.

thanks for posting anyways Omen. It's retroactive to the 19th so he's basically already half way through it. Sounds like he's gonna miss at least his next start but if it's only a pinched nerve? I doubt he could be out for to long. I still wish I had dropped him and picked up Liriano when I had the chance. Unfortunately, I missed my opportunity by about 1/2 a second when someone else picked him up.
