Corey Patterson....WOW!

Patterson sucks. His Ks are so high because of his ridiculously large strike zone. He refuses to listen to any hitting coaches or show any plate discipline. He did hit 24 HRs a year ago, and may approach that if he's in the lineup every day. But only because he's always swinging for the fences even though he's really not a power hitter. Cubs tried for years to turn him into more of a contact hitter and he would not listen. Pitchers picked up on this and stopped giving him anything decent to hit, and Patterson still swung at it.

I agree that he has a lot of talent. Just don't really see him ever doing anything with it.
