NL West- Insanity!!

Postby Simulacrum » Wed May 24, 2006 2:05 pm

Don't look now, but... every single team in the NL West is over .500! 8-o

And the D-Backs are in first place at 26-19! ;-D

Anyone else surprised that the NL West teams just keep winning?

I'm surprised. Don't look now. The Dodgers are as hot as Nomar's bat right now.

Last year, it wasn't until there was less than a week remaining in the regular season that it became clear that the division winner would not finish sub-.500.

So, yeah, I'm surprised. But it's early.

The good news for the division is that three teams -- the Rockies, D-Backs, and Dodgers appear to be loaded with excellent young talent.

The NL West will be a premier division soon if it hasn't already turned that corner.

That sounds dirty.
Let's go O's. Let's go Mets.

Dodgers are a "who knows?" kind of team.... If Nomar. Penny and J.D. Drew stay healthy, and Gagne comes back, they can beat anybody.... Those are BIG BIG BIG ifs though. They've also got a core of young guys getting better...
