Need help on one final push, WHIR

Postby Knights » Wed May 24, 2006 12:07 pm

Alright guys, I need help making this team firm atop the standings. I've been able to move it from middle-of-the-pack up to to top third of the league, but now I need to do something to mark my place at the top of the standings!

Any suggestions? Leave a link and I will definitely return the favour.

Your team is pretty solid from top to bottom. Manny and Rolen look like they've picked it up and that should keep you towards the top of the pack. You have some solid starters behind Webb, i'd try to sell high on Mussina, i'm a yankees fan and i see him pitch each time out and i'm not buying him with these ace type numbers. I could be wrong but thats just my 2 cents.

solid team....However, I would watch out on Hamels (shoulder stiffness and he misses his start today). Putz has the job but keep an eye out...He's got it but he doesnt have job security. Although I'm not a Mussina fan (I'm hardcore Oriole fan) I think

A follow-up question:

Furcal was just dropped, and he has been hot lately. Should I pick him up, and if so who should I drop?

Furcal has been hot and I think barring injury he will have a good year. As I told you yesterday, Hamels had shoulder stiffness and now he is on the DL. He only pitched 127 innings in the minors because he was injured most of the time. Yes, he could be a special pitcher, if healthy, but I wouldnt hold him if furcal was sitting on the wire. Your SP is strong, Sheets will be back soon (hopefully) and he is a proven SP - Hamels hasnt proved anything yet. I would drop Hamels and get Furcal. On another note, Manny is on tear for you and Sizemore is really heating up. Good Luck!!!
