He has almost double the walks he had last year though, so he's being pitched around since his SO count is up. His OBP is actually higher this year than last year. He needs somebody behind him so he'll actually get pitches to hit.
Son of a gun. Botts is in for Nevin and Blalock and Mench are hitting 4-5 today.

someone rats you out to the the mall security because they think you're CRAZY, you should start a shootout, swing from floor to floor via large balloons, rip a phone booth out of the wall, and steal the person's car. That will get them to calm down.
I have been very hard on Teixeira and some people think I have an irrational dislike for him (which is not true).
Anyway, I think it is too early to write him off. There is a lot of time left and he is too talented to not produce. He should put up 1st round or near 1st round numbers by the end of the season.
For the record, I think the lineup support is one of the biggest BS arguments of all time. Talent > Lineup.

30-100 is like 4th round material...might as well have drafted Konerko.

And Konerko is such a steal. Essentially a lock for 35-100-100
I know he was being sarcastic, im not stupid. I was just affirming his point that Texeira will not put up first-round numbers this season.
Look if he is going to hit me 30 HR the rest of the way then I won't complan but for god's sake I draft him expects at least 40 HR from him, I could have pick up Vald, so I guess us Tex owners do have the right to bash him..............

Another one who passed Vlad for Tex. If you're in a Roto I guess there's room to complain but if it's a H2H every week is different. I have Tex in 2 H2H leagues, one I'm in first and one I'm in dead last, I don't blame either success or failure on just Teix, it's a whole team.
