weren't amazing, just you liked their style of play or something? My all-time favorite player is probably Scott Brosius, who I guess some of you remember from the 98-01 Yankees. He was decent in the regular season, and a great defender, but he was so good in the playoffs...a real Mr. October. You could count on the clutch hit from him anytime. He also was maybe the best player at running in from third base and barehanding the bunt, then whipping it sidearm or underhand to first. Great times seeing him play when I was younger (I'm in high school now, so I was fairly young watching him play)! Anyway, anyone have any other favorites for personal reasons?
David Bell (when with the Mariners) was a pleasure to watch play. He did all the little things that never showed up in a box score, got the big hit when needed, and just all-around played the game the right way. Honestly things really started going downhill when they dealt him away and went with Cirillo and then Beltre. I think he was more valuable than anyone ever gave him credit for.
I liked Don Mattingly before I was born. He was my grandfather's favorite Yankee, and he was born in 1925. He got to watch all the greats play and he still loved Mattingly. The blue-collar attitude my grandfather had projected onto Donny Baseball.
I remember listening to Yankee games when I was young and my grandfather would go on and on about how Mattingly is one of the last class acts left in baseball. This was in '86. How right he was...
Now he was a very good player, but never got the ring or the accolades he deserved.
Paul O'Neil was also a great Yankee.
Basically I'm complicated.
I have a hard time taking the easy way
I wouldn't call it schizophrenia
But Ill be at least two people today
Well, my fav all time hitter is Griffey Jr. and pitcher is Zito.
But if you're talking about lesser known talents, I loved Chuck Knoblauch when he was with the Ynakees. I am the biggest John Rocker fan in the world. Also, some may remmember my obsessions with Maroth and Burroughs a year ago.
Sean Tracey has my apologies, we all know Ozzie Guillen is an idiot. I'm rooting for you!

Mattingly O'Neil Martinez Williams Pettitte Girardi
Those are some of my favorites. Can't believe I forgot Tino! I love seeing him on Baseball Tonight now...he's not the greatest analyst, but it's fun seeing him on there.
