Why is it that if I drop a player to waivers I can't put a waiver claim in for him?
This stinks. The only reason the guy is on waivers is because I had to drop a player in a trade. I didn't want to drop this player but Yahoo locks the dropped player in which again is stupid.

Not sure I get your point... you had to drop a player in the trade because you were getting back more guys than you were giving up, so you had to drop someone at some point anyways. Why would you want to pick him back up to drop a different guy?

Because Wheeler wasn't getting the job as closer and I wanted to drop h im rather then the other guy.
Anyways I want to pick the other guy back up but I have to wait till he clears waivers now rather then putting in a priority. Since i live in denver the east coast guys get a chance 2 hours before me.
Thats bs

Ah... so you changed your mind during the two days for the trade to go through. Yeah, not sure why they don't let you use your waiver spot on a guy you dropped... my only guess is they don't want someone with the lowest waiver position using waivers to manage a player rotation scheme.

In a two for one deal in Yahoo, you have to pre select the player to drop to even out your roster. Then it gets accepted, you are locked into dropping that player. You would have to propose a new trade and drop the appropriate player. But since it already was accepted, you're screwed.
I agree, it's BS. Why shouldn't you be able to use your waiver on a a player you dropped. It would only help the other owners who have a higher waiver by moving them up a spot.
Basically I'm complicated.

But Ill be at least two people today
If that's OK
And I can go on, and on, and on...
But who cares?

You mean you need to get up two hours earlier to get the guy back, if no one uses a waiver claim on him. The time when he goes from waivers to free agency is the same for everyone. Not a big deal though... the east coast guys would still need to wake up at 3:30 AM to get him - you can just stay up REALLY late until 1:30 AM

The reason Yahoo has players clear waivers is because that's the way it is in the pros. If you cut a player then everyone else gets a chance to claim him before you have a chance to pick him up again.
Since there is no minor leagues in Yahoo, then all players go to waivers. There is a commissioner option to drop all players to FA immediately, but that could hurt you because then it's completely first come, first serve.
