Manny Ramirez article, anyone agree?

Manny hits 2 big flys tonight.

My concern is the RBI. Manny could have a couple of really hot weeks and get back on track in the HR department. But to put up anywhere near the 144 runs he drove in last year is all but impossible. Even with his slow start last year, he still had 38 RBI on May 22, compared to 19 (less than half) in 2006.

I should have traded him for Chris Shelton.

That would've been one of the dumbest trades in history...i wouldve cried...

Bad timing on that article and I don't really agree with it. (And I'm not just saying that because he went on a tear right after the article came out, I would have said the same thing a week ago.)

Manny hasn't had great protection with Trot or Tek hitting behind him. I think when Crisp comes back, the Sox could put Youk in the 5 spot, and I think that would make a huge difference for him.

The guy isn't going to get any better, but his decline won't be a steep one. I think the guy who wrote that article is just trying a little shock journalism.
