First year manager...help?

This is my team...i'm not sure if it is good in the long run whatsoever, anyone have any pointers? Thinking about trading away some pitching, but dont know what i should go after...

Your team looks very solid, I wouldn't do anything drastic and mess up your lineup. You might want 1 more closer, but that's nothing WW can't handle.

I'd trade Maddux, Johnson, or Pettite right now for another closer. The bone I'd have to pick with your pitching staff is that its pretty ancient. Kaz, Arroyo, and Schmidt help it some. I'd just be worried about age and durability throughout the second half of the season...so try dealing your older pitchers (especially the ones I've listed) for some younger arms if you can.

Also, since you're pretty set on power in your bats and you have 3 3B, you should probably consider dealing one of them for some speed. Start trying to deal Blake, since his avg is sure to drop off during the second half of the season for a speedy 2B, SS, or OF you could plug into your UTL spot...and get Glaus into your 3B spot.
