It's great that the kid did it without drowning, but what parents in their right minds would LET a 7-year old attempt this. I know they followed him but still...

I'd let my son try it if I thought he could do it, and I'd be right there with him in case something went wrong. It's a whole lot safer than some of the stuff people try to do. :-o

Yeah, there would definitely be a lot of intangibles to go over first, safety issues, but I would allow my son to do it if I felt it was safe enough to do so.
