Where are all the Brandon Webb doubters now?? My God, I really think this is finally his real break out year where he enters the ranks of the pitching elite.

First time I saw him pitch, made the Braves look terrible.

So, he's injured now?

When did he get injured? I haven't seen anything yet saying Webb is hurt.

I'm just being a jerk because this is the injuries and player updates forum.

Sorry if you panicked. :-/

This topic belongs in Game commentary if it even belongs anywhere.

Got ya...I wasn't panicked really as I've got subscriptions that email me news on all of my players and Webb happens to be one of them (on less teams than I would like as well). I figured at worst he had some minor injury that wasn't being reported everywhere.

Webb does have one small downside this year too in roto leagues with an easily reachable max IP (like Yahoo's standard leagues) - a lower k/9 than he had in the past. He's only striking out 5.86 per 9 right now which actually does hurt a bit in those type of leagues. Since he struck out 7.10 in 2004 and 6.76 in 2005 his current strikeout rate is a bit of a disappointment. Given his other production though (7 wins, 2.44 era, 1.10 whip) I can't really complain. :D
