i think he'll do it, because he will play knowing hes close to a 40/40 and hes playing for a shiny new contract.

I am a Soriano owner, but I cannot see him stealing 10 more this year. I think he will end up with 46 HRs and 36 SBs. He is getting very anxious to get to 40-40 and he has been thrown out a lot. He also tries steasling third which is rarely a good idea. I see his anxiousnes to get there being his downfall. I just hope his need for HRs doesn't get him to overswing. If he continues doing what he is doing he has a shot at 50 HRs!

Well Soriano is already on pace for 40 SB, and if he has a desire to do it I would expect him to take off more than he usually does.

I didn't see Santana having a good transition from MR to starting, and then he goes and wins the Cy Young.

BTW, my trade (pre-season) for Soriano (16 team dynasty league) was this:

I gave:

Chris Ray, Marcus Giles, Matt Cain.

I got:

Alfonzo Soriano, Chad Orvella (praying for next year closer spot), and Jeff Francouer.

The funny thing was at the time the main piece of the deal was Francouer, not Soriano.

I say Soriano goes 50/40. He is currently 10(HR's/SB's) away from each of those, and he hits more HR's than he gets SB's, so if he gets 10 SB's, then there is no reason to think he won't get 10 HR's

But I do think he will run whenever he gets the chance, so, barring injury, I'm going to say that becoming the 5th member of the 40/40 club is a lock for Soriano this year

9 HR and 6 SB...
I think he gets 40/40, easy.
Maybe 50/40 if he can manage a couple 2 HR games.

Hell, if he keeps attempting 3 SB per game...
He might be trying for...50/50.

He was probably my biggest underestimation of the year. I was thinking 20/30.

Suffice it to say, I'm avoiding the high price tag next year.
