Anyone else bought/played this game? It's very good, once you get past the somewhat-sluggish fielding system.

yeah dynasty mode...had to get updated rosters, its kind of a quirky game, it has good and bad points, overall i liked the ea mvp series better

They made a patch for that. I take it you don't have your box attached to the internet?

The game is pretty fun, but you have to fix it up in some ways:

1) Get some updated rosters. Dave McCarty is on the Red Sox on default rosters.. Also, following with the theme of rosters, you may need to edit a few players.

2) The gold glove syndrome. Basically, all OFers have a cannon arm. Dudes like Juan Pierre can throw you out.

3) Fielding in a way. It will cost you a few games.

I like MVP '05 better, to say the truth. But, 2K6 is an okay game.

Ooooh, y'all are going to love the "updating" I did to the Cards' roster through trading:

C: Bengie Molina, Eddie Perez
1B: Albert Pujols, Scott Hatteberg
2B: Jorge Cantu, Brian Roberts
SS: David Eckstein, Jose Reyes
3B: Miguel Cabrera
OF: Matt Holliday, Jim Edmonds, Randy Winn, Kevin Mench

SP: Chris Carpenter, Mark Mulder, Jeff Suppan, Joe Kennedy, John Patterson
LR: Mark Redman
MR: Akinori Otsuka, Chris Capuano, Joe Borowski
SU: Scott Linebrink, Damaso Marte
CL: Francisco Rodriguez

Mwa ha ha.....

agree completely.
i also liked mvp's franchise mode depth...i liked having a,aa,aaa teams. if you could take mvp's franchise mode, and its fielding, and put that into 2k's graphics and audio...youd have a great game

Everyone talks about this, but I've never managfed to experience it myself. The outfielders seem quite normal when I play.

This is the main thing. The fielders are a bit slow to respond initially, and any change in your running direction takes too long to make. Plus, the middle-infielders seem to take their time throwing to first.
