It's nowhere near as bad as you are suggesting. Most of our problems can be attributed to one man, Chris Reeksma. The rest have been, in the main, solid. Even Vulturreal has looked good at times despite throwing the odd junk pitch. He'll be fine.

Ray, Cormier, James, Paronto have all at one time or another looked very very good.

Reitsma will hold onto his job for now, it's the Bobby Cox way. After that look out for Kenny.

Yeah, this is certainly a tired thread, but I can't resist commenting. I am convinced Villareal is going to get the job. Before blowing out his arm he was very solid in AZ and he appears helathy. His K rate sucks and WHIP aint great, but he seems to get the job done. Devine is NOT getting the job this year, maybe Sosa but the Braves need him in the rotation and he pitched great on Thursday. Last thought, Peter Gammons earlier in the year wrote about Villareal really praising him, calling him the future Braves closer

Sosa won'tbe closer. He'd be worse than Reitsma, and they need starters right now... McBride or Ray are the best choices, but neither are that good.

Villareal's ERA is 3.26, hardly terrible. You would have a much better case talking about his 1.46 WHIP, but thats not exactly terrible either.
